2007 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Eloge Napa Valley

The only Eloge ever to capture a 100pt barrel-tasting.

$95 By the bottle or $87.50 for 12 bottles or more.

It is very rare to see 100 points for any wine and for music there are few great albums that deserve this rating as well. Robert Parker has apparently found one wine to give this distinguished rating to and it's under $100! It is the 2007 Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Eloge. Todd Anderson came to Napa Valley and insisted on harvesting grapes when they reached optimal maturity. Deciding to wait to harvest his Cabernet until the grapes were as sweet as can be. In 2007, everything came in perfectly ripe. The summer was dry, but the temperatures were moderate, providing a unique and spectacular growing season. The Robert Parker review of the 2007 Eloge states:

"...the extraordinary fragrance of the 2007 Eloge, its inky bluish/purple color, and its remarkable nose of black fruits interwoven with soy, new saddle leather, incense, licorice, and even a hint of truffle is followed by a dense, full-bodied, opulently fruity, sumptuously textured wine... 96-100 points."
