The Joseph Phelps 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich and deeply concentrated experience for the eager palate. It is a product of California's Napa Valley and costs between $35.00 and $45.00, and was given a ninety-two point rating by Wine spectator. It is primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, with a hint of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, and its layers of cherry, blackberry, accented with curry and spice is perfect for your enjoyment now and until 2011.

We suggest pairing this deep red with Alana Davis' first release titled, "Blame It On Me". The nose of this wine blends black fruit, licorice, and smoke which enhances the sultry quality of Alana's music and her velvety voice. Following the nose, the wine has tremendous structure with loads of fruit and splendidly accompanies the smooth texture of Alana's music. It is a great discovery, as is Davis' soulful songs.

According to the winemaker's notes for this fine Cabernet, the summer months of 2002 nurtured a "remarkably strong color and flavor development," allowing for the harvest and production of a gorgeous wine so tightly focused, balanced and braced by ripe tannins.
